Featured Wedding

I'm sometimes asked by prospective wedding clients for references from wedding couples we've photographed in the past. This is a correspondence from Dana and Curt regarding our process and photography to eventual clients. Dana and Curt were married at the Morris House Hotel in Philadelphia and are our also Featured Wedding.

"We decided to use Jim after a close friend of mine commissioned him, and referred us. We met with him initially, and he showed us a lot of his work and some finished albums (discussing several pricing options and offering what pieces we could customize). We were really comfortable after meeting him, and he was really forthright when it came to cost and flexibility.

We then did an engagement photo session with him, which came out fabulously! Creative, candid shots with cool angles you would never think of... We displayed the photos at our wedding, which everyone loved!

Then the big day came... and Jim was on time and sharp - (he brought a second photographer with him as we chose the package with two photogs). The additional photographer was equally as professional and skilled. They went to work with minimal instruction from me (as you can imagine I was busy!), and according to the bridal party, "Those guys were everywhere!" Jim did a great job with our shot list, getting great shots without being too queue-y (is that a word?). Everything was breezy, but professional. He managed to get on the scene for every important moment, but in such an unobtrusive way that "candids" really, truly were candid.

We got the shots back, and they literally are breathtaking. I truly (not to sound pompous) feel like my photos are better than all of my other friends' photos I've seen. I'm actually having trouble choosing for our album, but too many beautiful shots to choose from is a good problem, right? We did look at several other albums that Jim has done, and they all look top-notch.. SO I expect ours to be impressive as well :)

Bottom line: We loved Jim, his work, his personality, and his professionalism."

Sincerely,

Dana (and Curt)
